Who We Are
GrupoDriel is a group of Mexican companies specialized in solutions that increase the reliability of high-voltage transmission and distribution systems. Founded in 1984, we have remained at the forefront of research and development in electrical protection.
Our solutions — from Silidriel dielectric coatings to live-line hot-washing equipment and ProFauna protections — keep critical infrastructure operational under any circumstance: industrial pollution, wildlife, moisture and extreme conditions.
We prioritize contamination and wildlife issues, the two leading causes of failure in electrical substations across Mexico and Latin America.

Our History
Founding — Galadriel
Galadriel is founded in Querétaro, manufacturing and installing aerial marker buoys for high-voltage lines.
Aplicaciones Silidriel is founded
Aplicaciones Silidriel is founded to develop and apply elastomeric coatings for electrical substations. Formulation and patent of the Silidriel coating, adopted by CFE as a standard solution in high-pollution areas.
International Expansion
First exports to Central and South America. Strategic alliances with CEMEX, IBERDROLA, AHMSA and TREMEC consolidate our presence in the industrial sector.
GrupoDriel is born
GrupoDriel is launched as the commercial name encompassing all the group’s companies. The ProFauna line is introduced to protect birds and wildlife at electrical substations.
